For 'Grow' I wanted to design something more fun and bubbly, much like the song. Willow expresses her experience of overcoming hardships, learning from them, and growing as a human being. I wanted to create irony and juxtaposition by conceptualizing a grown-up version of the baby doll dress. I used a cotton pink, black, and white plaid with black grommets and lacing on the bust. I added horse hair for the hem to achieve it's tulip shape. White and black tulle with pink lining were used to make the dress full and flowy. Anyone can wear this dress!  Anyone would want to, because it has POCKETS!! I also made white, fingerless, spandex, dinner gIoves to add an element of playful sophistication. The dress was styled with knee -high socks and Mary Janes to create the baby doll look, but it can also be styled with heels as you 'Grow'!
